Research Centre for Romance Linguistics - further information

i. Library - Journals

The Centre has a small library, comprising partial back-runs of some journals, and a number of books on Romance and general linguistics. The journals include Romance Philology, Revue de Linguistique Romane, Revue Romane, Verba, Cuadernos de Filología Italiana, Mediterranean Language Review, Revista de Filología Española, Dacoromania, Studii şi Cercetări Lingvistice, Limba Română, L'Italia Dialettale, Aemilianense, Bollettino Campano di Linguistica. Professor Maiden will be glad to supply fuller details of our journal and book holdings. We are happy to lend copies to graduate students who wish to borrow them.

ii. Joseph Cremona Archive

The Centre hosts the Joseph Cremona Archive. This is a small collection of documents and notes assembled by the late Joe Cremona and pertaining to the history of Italian as a lingua franca in the Mediterranean area. There is also a collection of books relevant to this subject. Scholars with interests in this area are welcome to come and consult the material. We hold, in addition, a small body of material gathered by Cremona as part of his research on the dialect of the Vallée d'Aure (Gascony).
