I am a part-time DPhil student researching the linguistics of brand names while working in the branding world full-time.
My DPhil research involves the exploration of the linguistic value of brand names (the grammar of proper names versus common nouns, the particularities of brand names compared to personal names and place names, cross-linguistic examples, the translation of brand names internationally if at all, and more depending on what my research reveals). Further interests are multilingualism, language acquisition, discourse analysis and business communications.
