Wyn Shaw

My DPhil research focuses on the interplay of syntax, information structure, and text-typology through the history of French, with a focus on the Early Modern period. Subject-verb inversions, dislocations and clefts are of particular interest.

I have also conducted work on trans history in the medieval era, focusing on the role of linguistic gender.

I teach tutorials for French Papers IV and V.
