Oxford's Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics is looking to recruit a full-time Departmental Lecturer in Semantics from 1 October 2018 for a fixed-term period of 1 year.

The postholder will be based at the Clarendon Institute in Walton Street. The postholder will deliver lectures and classes in semantics at all levels from first public exams to taught postgraduate, and in addition will give tutorials in semantics, primarily for the first public examinations of the degrees in modern languages and linguistics, and in philosophy, psychology, and linguistics. They will also carry out research in semantics.

The successful applicant will have been awarded or have completed all the requirements for a doctorate by 1 July 2018, and have a strong research record, appropriate to the stage of the candidate's career, and evidence of the ability to teach in the field of Semantics at all levels, and to teach general linguistics to undergraduate students.
