Following a record Oxford turn-out at the 2026 colloquium of BAAP (British Association of Academic Phoneticians), held at Warwick University, 8-10 April, we are delighted to announce that colleagues Dr Rasmus Puggaard-Rode and Dr Kate Tallon have both scooped prestigious prizes, Rasmus winning the Peter Ladefoged award for his presentation on /d/-vocalisation in Danish, and Kate winning a Eugenie Henderson prize for her presentation on /l/-velarisation in Connemara English

A total of 14 current LPP staff and graduate students attended, giving 7 oral presentations and 4 posters, and catching up with several former Oxford PhonLabbies.
