Supervision and Resources

Supervision arrangements

Each student has a course supervisor appointed by the Faculty Board from the beginning of their studies. Students meet regularly with their supervisors, who will offer individual instruction or arrange for tutorials with other tutors, and will provide advice about lectures and other aspects of the student’s programme. Course supervisors provide reports on the progress of each of their students three times a year, at the end of each term.

For more information on supervision, please see the Humanities Division website.

During your studies, you may find the following resources useful.

Current graduate students may apply to the Faculty for funding for travel to conferences or summer schools, or for funds to conduct experiments (e.g., for paying participants in an experiment), fieldwork, or other approved research expenses. There is no guarantee that funding will be available. More information is available in the Graduate Studies Handbook.
