Dr Danfeng Wu

I am a Fellow by Examination (equivalent to Junior Research Fellow) at Magdalen College. My primary research interests are in the areas of syntax-semantics and syntax-prosody. My research is grounded in the empirical phenomena of ellipsis and focus in coordination. I develop syntactic theories of these constructions, and study how their syntactic structure is mapped onto prosody using experimental phonetic methods. In doing so, my research sheds light on both the mapping between syntax and prosody and prosodic theories.
