Dr Daniel Altshuler

Associate Professor of Semantics

I am an Associate Professor of Semantics in the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology, and Phonetics at the University of Oxford, a Tutorial Fellow at Jesus College and a Lecturer at Brasenose College.

My primary research interests are in the areas of semantics and pragmatics. The theme of my research is context dependence with the aim of better understanding how compositional semantics interacts with discourse structure and discourse coherence. My research also explores how literary discourse motivates extensions of dynamic-semantic frameworks.

Please visit my personal website for more information about my research and teaching.
