RESEARCH: My DPhil research explores the differential realizations of L2 interdentals through a phonetic lens. I investigate this phenomenon using palatography, acoustic analysis, and a categorical perception experiment. My study examines Moroccan, Syrian, and Egyptian Arabic, as well as Turkish, German, Mandarin Chinese, and Dutch. Beyond my thesis, I have a strong interest in Arabic dialectology and Indo-Iranian discourse markers.
