Thesis project: A Typology of Tone in the Kainantu languages of Papua New Guinea

With my DPhil project, I aim to contribute to phonological theory by analysing data from underdocumented languages. My research focuses on tone in the Kainantu languages of Papua New Guinea.

Research interests: phonetics, phonology, language description and documentation, Papuan languages.
