Before taking on my current role as Assistant Professor in Historical Linguistics at the Université de Lausanne, I was the Diebold Research Assistant in Comparative Philology from 2018 until 2020. I remain an associate member of the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics.

My current research looks at the historical development and typology of relative clauses in the Italic group of Indo-European, esp. in pre-Classical Latin. In my doctoral dissertation, which I am currently preparing for publication with OUP, I have looked at the influence of West Middle Iranian languages on the syntax of Classical Armenian.

In general, my research and teaching focuses on historical linguistics, specifically of Latin, Greek, Classical Armenian, and West Middle Iranian (Parthian, Middle Persian). In particular, I am interested in the language contact between ancient languages, and the historical development of relative clauses and their typology.
