Background:
I was born and raised in Hangzhou, China. Before joining the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics, I completed both my BA in Foreign Languages and Literatures and my Master’s in Modern Philology at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. During my BA, I also spent a semester as an Erasmus student at Humboldt University in Berlin.
I am versed in several modern languages (English, Italian, French, Spanish, and German), and also literate in Latin, Ancient Greek, Russian and Japanese. In addition to my work as a researcher, I have been working as a language teacher (teaching Chinese to foreign learners and foreign languages to Chinese students), as well as a translator and interpreter (English–Italian–Chinese) for international and intercultural events.
