Congratulations to DPhil student Althea Sovani, who has won the third prize in this year's international competition of the Society for Indo-European Studies (Indogermanische Gesellschaft) for the best Master's thesis in historical-comparative linguistics. Althea's thesis on the infinitive in the Old Indic Atharvaveda was praised by the jury as an "excellent achievement of a young scholar".
