PPL Graduate Alvin Tan wins Linguistics Association of Great Britain Outstanding Undergraduate Dissertation in Linguistics prize
The Faculty is proud to announce that former Psychology, Philosophy and Linguistics student Alvin Tan, who graduated in 2020, has been awarded a prize for Outstanding Undergraduate Dissertation in Linguistics by the Linguistics Association of Great Britain for research work undertaken during his undergraduate studies at Oxford. The LAGB awards prizes annually for outstanding dissertations or long-form essays in any subfield of linguistics written by undergraduates. Alvin received the award for his Linguistics Project “Copular Constructions in Colloquial Singaporean English”.
